The Monaco Modified Series announced today that its Midweek Madness race at Seekonk Speedway will expand from 100 to 125 laps. The race, set for Wednesday, June 25, is designed to raise the intensity and strategic complexity of what is already one of the most entertaining events on the Monaco Modified calendar.

The decision to increase the race distance was made with the goal of raising the stakes and giving fans even more of the nerf bar to nerf bar, strategy-filled racing they’ve come to expect.

“These final laps will be tough for anyone trying to stretch their tires,” said Ed Bennett, Monaco Modified Series Technical Director. “It’s going to challenge teams to make the right call, and that’s exactly what makes this series so exciting. The extra distance opens the door for more comers and goers through the field and puts added pressure on the crew chief to get the strategy just right.”

Driver Woody Pitkat added: “The extra 25 laps are definitely a plus. It challenges us as drivers to manage our tires, make smart moves, and stay focused longer — all while keeping the intensity high. It also opens up more strategy, which adds to the excitement for the fans. You never know who’s going to pit, who’s going to stay out, and how it’ll all play out at the end.”

Midweek Madness combines the raw energy of Wednesday night short-track racing with the deep strategy Monaco Modified fans love. From start to finish, teams will be tested on tire management, and bold decision-making – all playing out under the lights at Seekonk.

With 125 laps of fierce competition, Monaco Modified Midweek Madness is set to deliver another unforgettable chapter in the series’ growing legacy.
