MODIFIED RACING ROOTS

Monaco Ford has long been involved in local modified racing, beginning back in the 1940s with Sonny Monaco. In the 70s and 80s, David Monaco continued the family tradition, competing throughout New England including at the Connecticut short tracks of Stafford, Thompson, and Waterford.

Not only have the Monaco’s been drivers and crew members, but they have also been sponsors for multiple race teams – including being the primary sponsor for 2020 Stafford SK Light Champion Brian Sullivan.

Monaco Ford has also entered into a multi-year deal providing safety vehicles for Stafford Motor Speedway’s highly efficient track crew. They look forward to servicing all of Stafford’s on-track action throughout the race season and beyond.
