Prior to the start of the 2023 season, Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series management welcomed Van Horst General Contractors as a new marketing partner with the series with the introduction of the Van Horst Construction “Choose Rule” Cone for all series events.
After just one event together, Van Horst principal Lindsey Rutka was so pleased with the results from the season-opening event at Thunder Road International Speedway in May that the company decided to increase their commitment and relationship with the series.
Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series management announced Tuesday the return of the Hard Charger Award for each event. The award will be sponsored by Van Horst General Contractors.
“After Thunder Road I had multiple calls from people – who weren’t even at the race but watching on [FloRacing] – telling me they heard our name throughout the broadcast,” Rutka said.
The first Van Horst Construction Hard Charger Award will be introduced this week at Open Wheel Wednesday at Seekonk Speedway.
The Van Horst Construction Hard Charger Award will reward a $500 bonus at every event to the driver who advances the most positions during the feature race.
“I think the teams will be thrilled to learn we’re bringing back this bonus,” said Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series Director of Series Development Renee Dupuis. “I like the award because it recognizes a driver and team who worked together to turn their performance around after not having the greatest start to their day. And we’ve all had days like that. We can’t thank Lindsey enough for his belief in what we’re trying to accomplish as a Series.”
