SEEKONK, MA (October 25, 2026) – The Monaco Modified Series brought the curtain down on its 2026 season Saturday night in front of an enthusiastic crowd of approximately 5,500 fans at the USNEPower Haunted Hundred XL at Seekonk Speedway, where Teddy Hodgdon charged to victory aboard the Justin Albernaz-owned Modified and Jon McKennedy survived a late-race setback to secure the Series Championship by the narrowest of margins.

Hodgdon made his winning move on lap 113, getting past Kyle Bonsignore to take command of the race with just 12 circuits remaining. He never looked back, taking the checkered flag ahead of Tyler Chapman, Bonsignore, Austin Beers, and Brett Meservey.

The victory capped a memorable night for Hodgdon and the Albernaz team, who saved their best for the Series’ final event of the season.

Six points decide it
While Hodgdon celebrated in Sign Pro Victory Lane, the championship story was unfolding behind him.

McKennedy’s night got complicated on lap 108, when he was collected in a multi-car melee. He came home 13th, which gave Ron Silk a shot at the title, but McKennedy had enough cushion to clinch by six points.

McKennedy’s championship season included four trips to Victory Lane, including his most recent triumph at Thompson Speedway’s World Series on October 10.

In addition to claiming the top share of the USNEPower/Union Insurance Group $50,000 championship point fund, McKennedy also secured the $2,000 USNEPower Energizer Zone Bonus for spending most races inside the top five in the championship standings.

USNEPower’s support of the Series comes in THREE major ways:

  • Race Sponsor: Title sponsor of the USNEPower Haunted Hundred XL at Seekonk Speedway for the third consecutive year.
  • Championship Point Fund Co-Sponsor: Alongside Union Insurance Group, USNEPower supports the $50,000 championship point fund distributed among the top 10 drivers in the final standings.
  • Energizer Zone Sponsor Bonus: The $2,000 USNEPower Energizer Zone Bonus recognizes season-long consistency, rewarding the driver who spent the most weeks among the top five in championship points.

The Monaco Modified Series extends its sincere appreciation to USNEPower for its continued confidence, generosity, and commitment to supporting Modified racing in New England.

Special Awards Recognize Outstanding Performances
The Series’ valued partners once again provided additional opportunities for competitors to earn recognition and rewards during Saturday’s season finale.

  • Van Horst General Contractors Hard Charger ($500): Woody Pitkat, his third straight Series event winning the award
  • Creative Racing Products ($500 Gift Card): Teddy Hodgdon
  • Constantine Paving & Sealing Most Laps Led ($250): Kyle Bonsignore

Qualifying Sets the Stage for Haunted Hundred XL
With 35 cars assembled in the pit area, competition was fierce from the outset, with three heat races determining much of the starting lineup for the 125-lap feature.

Keith Rocco, Luke Baldwin, and Kyle Bonsignore each captured heat race victories, while Chase Grennan raced to the win in the consolation event to secure his place in the starting field.

Halloween Fun Takes Center Stage at Mr. Rooter Kids’ Club
The excitement wasn’t limited to the racetrack Saturday, as the Mr. Rooter Kids’ Club brought a little Halloween magic to Seekonk Speedway with a special costume contest and trick-or-treat autograph session.

Young race fans arrived dressed in their Halloween best, enjoying an opportunity to meet their favorite Monaco Modified Series drivers, collect autographs, and participate in some festive trick-or-treat fun. Among the creative costumes, Kolson Skowyra stole the show dressed as a bull rider, earning a prize pack from the Seekonk Grand Prix for winning the Kids’ Club costume contest.

Thank You for a Memorable Conclusion to the 2026 Season
From Hodgdon’s late-race winning pass to a championship decided by just six points, the USNEPower Haunted Hundred XL provided a dramatic conclusion to the Monaco Modified Series’ 2026 campaign. The Series thanks Seekonk Speedway’s management and staff, the teams, officials, sponsors and fans who supported the 2026 season. Congratulations to Hodgdon and the Albernaz team, and to McKennedy and his crew on the championship.
