THOMPSON, Conn. — Ron Silk returned to Sign Pro Victory Lane Wednesday night, capturing the Monaco Modified Series Midweek Special at Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park and pocketing the $10,000 winner’s prize in the 75-lap feature.
Contested before a strong midweek crowd and streamed live on NESTN.tv, the Wednesday night spectacular arguably featured one of the strongest fields of modified talent assembled in 2026.
Finishing second was Patrick Emerling, whose runner-up finish was one of the night’s most notable performances. After suffering a broken rear end during his qualifying heat race, Emerling was forced to start at the rear of the feature field. He methodically worked his way through traffic over 75 laps to finish second and earned the Van Horst Hard Charger Award, along with the accompanying $500 bonus, for advancing the most positions during the race.
Ronnie Williams crossed the finish line third after another strong championship-caliber run. Williams also won the evening’s first qualifying heat races and earned the $250 Constantine Paving & Sealing Most Laps Led Award.
Austin Beers continued his consistent 2026 campaign with a solid fourth-place finish, keeping himself firmly in the championship conversation.
Rounding out the top five was Jon McKennedy, whose night nearly ended before it began. After losing an engine during practice, McKennedy and his team made a herculean effort to return home, retrieve a backup car, and race back to Thompson in time for the evening’s headlining event. Their determination paid off with a fifth-place finish, salvaging valuable championship points after what could have been a disastrous night.
Michael Christopher Jr. put in a commanding run to win the second heat race of the night, adding an extra $300 to his team’s payday.

With the championship battle tightening following Thompson, fans can expect another highly competitive field as the Northeast’s best Modified drivers continue their pursuit of the Monaco Modified Series title.
