Highlights of the RaceChoice.com 125 for the Monaco Modifieds at Star Speedway on Sunday September 15, 2024.
RaceDayCT: “This has been a long time coming with the [Monaco Modified] Tri-Track Series for me,” Pitkat said. “We’ve been here for a long time and we haven’t won since 2015 so this is awesome. I can’t thank [my team] enough. Ninety percent of them were at Riverhead [Raceway for a Whelen Modified Tour event] last night and probably didn’t get much sleep. I can’t thank them enough.”
Mike Christopher Jr. will get to add to a new track to his racing resume on Sunday in Epping, N.H. Christopher, of Wolcott, has been added to the entry list for the Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series RaceChoice.com 125 at Star Speedway on Sunday.
Christopher will drive the Justin Albernaz owned No. 07 for the event, filling in for regular driver Kyle Bonsignore who has a family commitment.
Sunday’s race marks the first time the series will headline the Star Classic weekend at Star Speedway, the first time the series will run a Sunday event at Star and the first time the series will run a September event at Star. The series ran a July event at Star each year annually from 2016 to 2023. The series has also run events in May, June and August at Star since 2014
RaceDayCT: Newman, an 18-time winner in the Cup Series, has been added to the entry list for the Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series NAPA Fall Final at Stafford on Sept. 28.
When the checkered flag falls on the Sunday, September 15 event, the spin of a prize wheel in MMTTS Sign Pro Victory Lane will determine how $5,000 in RaceChoice.com gift cards will be distributed.
RaceDayCT: The king of the Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series reached the 20-win plateau at the New London-Waterford Speedbowl.
