When the Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series rolls into the New London-Waterford Speedbowl on Saturday, August 12, Belltown Motors/Fowler’s Auto Wrecking will return as the event title sponsor.
Once again, this race is expected to be a showstopper with:
- 32 modified teams pre-registered (and still more anticipated)
- A $10,000 winner’s purse on the line
- The addition of the Dunleavy’s Gamblers Challenge (estimated to increase the purse by $5,000)
- AND live streaming service courtesy of FloRacing.
When reached for comment about coming back for a second year to lend their support for the touring series event, the Flannery family – longtime racers and owners of Belltown Motors and Fowler’s Auto Wrecking – offered the following insight to their involvement:
“This is just a joy for us to be a part of, it’s something great and gives back to the racing community. We’re just trying to get more people involved in the sport we love so much. The Monaco Modifieds brought in a standing-room-only crowd last year and that created the opportunity to bring people out to the Speedbowl that may have not been to a race at the track recently or have never been to the track before. It is our hope that some of those people come back for our weekly racing to support our track and all the drivers that call Waterford home.”
“We’re extremely thankful that the success of 2022 event at the Speedbowl allowed us to expand our partnership with Belltown Motors and Fowler’s Auto Wrecking during the 2023 season,” explained Renee Dupuis, MMTTS Director of Series Development. “We’ve worked hard in the lead-up to make this year’s event even bigger and better, the weather forecast looks to be perfect, so here’s hoping for another successful race – for all involved – come Saturday!”
