The Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series debut at Thompson headlines Saturday’s portion of the 50th Icebreaker weekend.
Race Day CT: On April 24, 2022 Matt Hirschman scored his first career Modified win at Stafford and did it in style in scoring victory in the 50th NAPA Spring Sizzler at the historic half-mile. Saturday the Northampton, Pa. driver added another all-time classic event to his to his collection of Stafford victories. Hirschman drove away from the field late to win the Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series 50th NAPA Fall Final Saturday at Stafford.
Next up is Stafford Motor Speedway and the $15,000-to-win 50th NAPA Auto Parts Fall Final. This year marks the third (second consecutive) running of the Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series as part of this historic event. And, to put an exclamation point to the end of their special 10th anniversary season, at the Fall Final, the MMTTS will also crown their 2023 champion.
Race Day CT: With the NAPA Fall Final at Stafford Speedway fast approaching on Saturday, September 23rd, Matt Hirschman has filed an entry for the race and he will be looking to get his #60 The Florida Connection machine back to its winning ways after finishing 4th in the season opening NAPA Spring Sizzler®.
RaceDayCT: “This weekend will be a test for my arm and just the mobility and where I’m at with that,” Hirschman told RaceDayCT. “If all goes well my intentions will be to be competing next week at Stafford.”
The Monaco Modified Tri-Tracks Series (MMTTS) traveled to New London-Waterford Speedbowl (Waterford, CT) on Saturday, August 12 for 100 laps of racing on the 3/8-mile semi-banked oval. The oval was fast, allowing drivers to click off speedy laps in the Belltown Motors/Fowler’s Auto Wrecking 100. Thirty-three teams made the trek
Race Day CT: Over the first nine seasons the Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series has run Hirschman had at least one victory every season. But after three of six scheduled events Hirschman was winless in 2023. No fear, the winning streak hit 10 years Saturday for Hirschman in another huge paying event for the Northampton, PA driver. Hirschman got a $10,000 winner’s purse for the event and also won the Dunleavy’s Gambler’s Challenge to add another $8,100 to his payout at the shoreline oval Saturday.
Prepare, Race, Win, Repair, Repeat The Monaco Modified Tri-Tracks Series (MMTTS) traveled to Star Speedway in Epping, NH on Saturday, July 22 for 100 laps of racing on the 1/4 mile. The small, tight oval proved once again to be fast and challenging. 25 drivers practiced, qualified and started the
