Race Day CT: In the first 17 editions of Open Wheel Wednesday at Seekonk Speedway, the name Matt was a common sight in victory lane. Matt Hirschman was a five-time winner of the annual Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series event at Seekonk. Wednesday there was a new Matt celebrating the $10,000 payday at The Cement Palace. Matt Swanson of Acton, Mass. held off the challenges of Hirschman on a lap 75 restart and then checked out over the final 20 laps to get his first career Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series victory Wednesday at Seekonk Speedway.
Race Day CT: Ron Silk has been on a string of checking off “First Time” boxes in 2023 behind the wheel of his Haydt-Yannone Racing Modified. Wednesday Silk heads to Seekonk (Mass.) Speedway with the Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series not looking for a career first, but rather eyeing the chance to join an exclusive list at the annual Open Wheel Wednesday event at the track known as “The Cement Palace”.
Race Day CT: The Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series hosts the second of its six scheduled 2023 events Wednesday at Seekonk Speedway for the 18th running of Open Wheel Wednesday. Race Day CT: The lifeblood of motorsports, especially at the grassroots level, is sponsors. In most cases, the names and faces behind many of those sponsors aren’t known. When it comes to the Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series the support system involved includes those who not only want to associate their brands with the series, but who are also big fans of the series who want to be a working part of each event. That fact was evident Sunday when the Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series kicked off its 2023 season at Thunder Road International Speedbowl in Barre, Vt.
Race Day CT: The Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series kicked off its 2023 season Sunday at Thunder Road International Speedbowl in Barre, VT. But it’s never too early for any series to get a start on planning the next year’s schedule. And the first piece of the puzzle is in place for the Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series for 2024. Thunder Road co-owner Cris Michaud confirmed Tuesday that the Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series will return to Thunder Road in 2024.
Race Day CT: The Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series rans its first event at Thunder Road International Speedbowl in 2022 and it wasn’t long after that inaugural race that the decision was made to return for 2023. That decision to return made plenty happy who were on hand for Sunday’s Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series Granite City 100.
Race Day CT: It was a long journey Sunday morning for Ronnie Williams from his Connecticut home to Barre, VT. One that started with him hitting the road at 4 am for the three-hour-plus roll north. And like the long day, it was a long journey back to victory lane with the Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series for the Tolland driver. Williams had the field covered for the majority of the way Sunday to roll to victory in the Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series season-opening Granite City 100 at Thunder Road International Speedbowl in Barre.
Race Day CT: Race fans around the Northeast understand that the competition for wins on the Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series is heated, feisty, and pays well at all of the division’s stops. In 2023 the series will be offering fans the chance to get in on the competition themselves, and the big prizes. The Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series will host fantasy competitions for all six of their events for the 2023 season and will reward some major prizes for participation. The series will offer awards for competition for each event during the season and also award some major prizes for those who participate in all six events.
