In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series is partnering with Rocco Performance Management and Racechoice.com to sponsor a contest at the Constantine Paving & Sealing 75 at Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park on Saturday, October 12.

The team presenting the best Breast Cancer Awareness decorations/scheme on their Monaco Modified will be awarded a Simpson helmet courtesy of RaceChoice.com, with RaceChoice.com Gift Cards going to the second ($250) and third-place ($100) contest finishers. In return, the MMTTS and Rocco’s Performance Management (Jeff Rocco) will each donate $500 to the Breast Friends Fund.

“We’re honored to raise awareness and collect donations for the Breast Friends Fund – a Glastonbury, CT-based organization that has proudly raised over $1,500,000 for metastatic breast cancer research,” offered Renee Dupuis, Director of Series Development. “Founder Sandy Cassanelli is a fierce warrior – not only in fighting this terrible disease, but in generating research dollars, AND providing support for breast cancer patients and caregivers.”

For others wishing to donate, please visit https://breastfriendsfund.org/ or stop by the MMTTS Trailer at Thompson where donations will be collected.

About Metastatic Breast Cancer
1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with invasive breast cancer in their lifetime. Metastatic Breast Cancer affects over 30% of these diagnosed women.

  • Metastatic breast cancer accounts for approximately 42,000 deaths in the United States annually.
  • Currently, only 7% of all Breast Cancer Research funding is allocated to Metastatic Breast Cancer Research.
  • 116 women die daily from Metastatic breast cancer.
  • The average life expectancy for those with Metastatic Breast Cancer is 3 years.
  • Currently there is NO Cure for Metastatic Breast Cancer.
  • When breast cancer spreads to other parts of the body, such as the bones, brain, liver, or Lungs, it is called metastatic (also referred to as advanced or stage IV).
  • Although it is not curable, metastatic breast cancer can be treatable. Today, with new therapies, including biologic-targeted treatments and novel drug combinations, women with metastatic breast cancer can live well for many years.
