Ron Silk emerged victorious in Wednesday night’s Monaco Modified GAF Roofing Modified Masters at Stafford Motor Speedway, prevailing in a hard-fought battle with Ronnie Williams to claim the $10,000 winner’s purse in the Monaco Modified Series’ fourth event of the 2026 season.

A stacked field featuring Cup Series stars Ryan Preece and Ryan Newman, along with many of the Northeast’s top Modified competitors, thrilled fans with 80 laps of side-by-side racing at the historic half-mile oval. Several late cautions set the stage for a dramatic finish, with Silk fending off Williams over the closing laps to secure the victory.

A hard-charging Justin Bonsignore, Teddy Hodgdon, and Ryan Newman rounded out the top five finishers.

Earlier in the evening, the Pole Dash, contested among the six fastest cars from group qualifying, was won by Ron Silk, while heat race victories were captured by Steven Chapman and Cory DiMatteo.

Additional awards handed out on the evening included:

The championship battle tightened considerably following Stafford, as Ronnie Williams and the Adam Skowyra-owned No. 50 team emerged from the night with the Monaco Modified Series points lead. Williams now holds a slim advantage atop the Union Insurance Group/USNEPower standings, with just six points separating the top three drivers. Jon McKennedy sits only five points behind Williams, while defending series champion Ron Silk is six points back as the title fight heads into the second half of the season.

The battle for the season-long USNEPower Energizer Zone Bonus also remains incredibly close. Ronnie Williams and Jon McKennedy have each occupied a position inside the top five in points following four events, while Kyle Bonsignore and Michael Christopher Jr. have done so three times apiece. Ron Silk has spent two events in the Energizer Zone as drivers continue to chase the $2,000 bonus that will be awarded at season’s end.

Off the track, families flocked to the Monaco Modified Kids’ Club presented by Mr. Rooter, where young fans received exclusive Kids’ Club t-shirts and Stafford Speedway Trading Cards while participating in fun activities throughout the evening.

Fans ages 21 and over also enjoyed stopping by the Surfside and Super Lyte display, located next to Stafford Speedway’s Double Hook Bar, where the brands treated attendees to product samples and giveaways throughout the evening.

The Monaco Modified Series now turns its attention to Epping, N.H.’s Star Speedway on Saturday, August 8, for the series’ lone Granite State appearance of the 2026 season. The quarter-mile bullring will host a 125-lap showdown as drivers continue their pursuit of the Union Insurance Group/USNEPower’s $50,000 Championship point fund.
